About Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens was built around golf — PGA National hosts a PGA Tour event every winter — and grew into one of the best-run cities in the county, with a reputation for landscaping, code enforcement and public amenities. The Gardens Mall and Downtown at the Gardens make it the retail and dining center of the northern county.

The city is largely made up of planned communities, many of them gated and many built around a golf course or club. That creates a specific buyer question early on: club community or not? The answer changes the price, the monthly cost and the lifestyle, and it is the first thing we sort out together.

Neighborhoods & communities in Palm Beach Gardens

PGA National

The name everyone knows. Multiple courses, a resort and a wide range of housing from condos to estates. Membership options vary by section — we explain what is mandatory and what is not.

Mirasol

A prestige gated golf community with two courses and a large club. Estate homes and a membership structure that is part of the purchase decision.

BallenIsles & Frenchman's Creek

Established, high-end country-club communities with mandatory memberships and mature landscaping. Buyers here are buying a club as much as a house.

Evergrene

A gated, non-golf community with a large clubhouse, lakes and a family orientation. Often the answer for buyers who want the Gardens without a club.

Alton & Avenir

The new master-planned communities. Alton is contemporary, walkable to its own town center. Avenir is larger, still building out, with a range of builders and a big amenity program.

Buying in Palm Beach Gardens — what we check first

In the club communities, membership is a line item — sometimes mandatory, sometimes optional, sometimes with an initiation fee that changes the real cost of the home. We get the club documents alongside the HOA documents.

New construction in Alton and Avenir means builder contracts, which are not the same as resale contracts. We represent you in the builder's sales office, not the other way around.

Gardens neighborhoods are competitive when a well-priced home hits. Have financing settled before you tour so you can move when the right one shows up.

Palm Beach Gardens questions we hear most

Do I have to join the club to buy in a golf community?

It depends on the community, and sometimes on the section within it. Some memberships are mandatory with the purchase, some are optional, and some have waiting lists. We tell you exactly what applies before you make an offer.

Is Palm Beach Gardens good for families?

Very. Strong public schools, parks, sports programs and a large number of family-oriented planned communities make it one of the most popular relocation destinations in the county.

How far is it to the beach?

Juno Beach and the northern county beaches are ten to fifteen minutes east of most of the city. Jupiter and its inlet are just to the north.
